This summer, sunscreen stops being something you remember to do. It becomes something you just do, built into the rhythms already around us: getting dressed, filling a water bottle, turning a page, listening to cicadas, watching the tennis, towelling off.
We place TO SAVE inside life. Through repetition and familiar cues it becomes the thing you reach for without thinking, carried with you and returned to all day.
The Sun In All Her Glory means all of her. Every condition, every environment, both sides of the day.
To Save Face Superscreen
The anchor of TO SAVE. The product we recognise straight away and return to throughout the world.
Sun Stick
New clear formula. Reach. Swipe. Carry on.
To Save Lips
Connects SPF to something people already do on instinct.
To Save Body
Takes TO SAVE beyond the face. Stories of bodies, friendship, generosity and missed spots.
A black backdrop works for a still. In motion it runs out quickly, and fifteen seconds against black isn’t a world anyone wants to follow. To tell a story worth watching we need more elements: sun, water, sky, somewhere to be.
So black becomes the underscore. It lives in the shadows and the contrast, in a hard sun and deep shade, which keeps every frame unmistakably MECCA Cosmetica without walling the talent in.
Rear projection gets us there. It’s a technique my team and I know well, it’s cost effective, and it stays inside the controlled, hyperreal world of the brand. We build the moving plates first: the perfect summer sunset, waves rolling in, light through an umbrella. You approve them before the shoot. On the day we shoot talent in front of the projection and light them as if it’s real.

Black, for editorial
We still have capacity to shoot against a black backdrop, and we’ll use it where it’s strongest: sunscreen close-ups on the face, and wide shots carried by great styling.
Loewe’s SS26 campaign shows how well black works for those editorial moments. They’ll sit inside the films as punctuation, between the scenes the projection builds.
All of these can be made with rear projection.

Warm, sunlit
Beauty and skin are the main glow. Warmth and a little saturation tie the motion to the stills.
Black comes through the shadows. Hard sun against deep shade, warm summer textures against dark negative space, so the product reads graphic and instantly recognisable.
A light film grain gives the motion a filmic, artistic feel.

Black, then summer
Black sits underneath every frame as shadow and contrast. The secondaries arrive through props, wardrobe and the projected plates: a red deckchair, an orange slice, a blue towel, a yellow strap.
Reach, swipe, carry on
Motion is built around familiar summer actions that trigger SPF: reaching for a book, towelling off, turning a page. Each action is a short visual cue, so SPF is reached for and returned to all day. Close-ups, environmental detail and playful, slightly surreal moments. Social first, fast cuts and repetition, with pauses that land the joke.
Each campaign is three 15 second cutdowns and a 20 to 30 second hero cut from all three. Under each film: the projected plate, the set we build and the props. Tap a sound to hear a rough sketch.

Always Within Reach
Reading, chatting, lying in the sun. Her hand finds SPF without the moment stopping.

To The Moments In Between
Reapplication in the pauses: between swims, sips and lunches. Slow vignettes, fast edit.

From Here On Out
A quick morning routine. SPF as the last step before the door.

SPF, Always
All three woven together. Part of the rhythm of summer.

Play The Long Game
Tennis, but not on the nose. Serve, return, reapply.

To Protect Your Skin
Skin close-ups and eyes tracking the rally. The point ends, she reapplies.

To Apply Yourself. Off By Heart.
Sports performance. A ticking clock, clenched muscles, SPF as reflex.

Australian Open
All three together. SPF as second nature.
Our three can share a film but never share a frame. Each owns her or his own moments.

Each film opens on the wordmark and a line in the serif, set over the first frame, and closes on the same end card.
